What is Naturopathy? Naturopathy is based on the belief that the body is self-healing. The body will repair itself and recover from illness spontaneously if it is in a healthy environment. A healthy environment is an environment free from mental, physical and psychological stress and encourages the consumption of live foods which allow the body to be relieved of toxins (detox), additives and preservatives. A healthy environment coupled with the optimum amount of whole food vitamins and minerals stimulates healthy cellular regeneration while revitalizing the body and increasing overall health.
Naturopathy is a system of therapy and treatment which relies exclusively on natural remedies, such as food dehydration, yoga, hydrotherapy, mineral and herbal baths, vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements coupled with a vegetarian diet, fasting, and therapies such as massage. Some naturopaths have been known to recomend natural treatments like colon hydrotherapy for ailments such as asthma, high blood pressure, anemia, obesity, diadetes, arthritis and many others.
