In the late 90’s while teaching in public school, Alexander began to notice a decline in his health. As a former athlete and military cadet, he was well aware of what his body felt like in optimum condition. Poor eating habits, in addition to being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, asthma, and hypertension due to high levels of stress, led Alexander to understand that he needed to improve his health.

During an attempt at detoxification--which included a nutritional fast that consisted of freshly juiced vegetables, drinking one gallon of water daily and a combination of Spirulina & Wheatgrass for 7 to 21 days-- he began to experience shortness of breath, headaches, and other aches and pains. These were all symptoms of a detoxification crisis, which was noted to be a possible side-effect during the cleansing process. The remedy to the crisis was a series of enemas. Like many of us (particularly men), Alexander thought that enemas were uncomfortable, invasive, and detrimental to the traditional male ego. Therefore, he chose to ignore the recommendation to perform the enemas.

Once he put his ego aside and completed the enemas as suggested, he understood that the cleansing of the colon provided instant relief of the symptoms developed during the crisis. Alexander recognized that when food is allowed to sit on various parts of the colon, certain symptoms and ailments arise. This realization generated fervor to learn more about health care, thus leading to his intense study of the colon.

Alexander became a trained colon therapist in 2000 through the Cayce/Reilly school of Massotherapy . He holds a Ph. D. in Naturology from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. He also holds an Associate Degree in Kemetic Studies ( Sema University and Seminary), B.S. Degree in Education ( Norfolk State University ), a Masters of Education Degree in School Leadership and Instruction ( Wilmington College ), a B.S. Degree in Naturology, and a M.S. Degree in Naturology. Alexander's experience includes individual and family counseling, mental health and drug & alcohol counseling, and administrative management in community mental health organizations. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Non-Profit Management from Capella University.

His other interests as a holistic practitioner include yoga, mediation, diet purification, vegetarianism (commercial vegetarian, raw foods, vegan etc.), juice therapy, and nutrition. Alexander is also an independent researcher and practitioner of Egyptian Yoga, Indian Yoga, Chinese Yoga, and psychology, as well as Christian Mysticism at the Yoga Research Foundation (http://www.yrf.org). He is currently a student and a practicing yogi of advanced studies of Kemetic Culture at the Sema Institute and University of Yoga in Miami, Florida under the guidance and spiritual tutelage of the world renowned author and founder of the Sema Institute and University of Yoga, Dr. Muata Ashby. Alexander's specialty areas of yogic practice include the Thef Neteru postures, Glorious Light Meditation, and Maat Philosophy.
